A very Speical Wedding Dinner

We are attending the wedding dinner of Aunty Wei Qi and Uncle Nan-Waw, the wedding is held at a very speical place called Dolce Vita @ Oriental Hotel.

The restaurant is located next to the pool and the whole setting was very pretty!

The dinner is not the typical chinese wedding as its all 'ang mo' food. Mummy says that its called: Fine Dining and true enough all the food served were very yummy and 'fine'.

Soon Aunty and Uncle marched in but we couldnt see them clearly as we were placed out door, then the dinner started. The first to come was the bread and we sort of figured out that bread was the main dish for that night as the rest of the food were all 'kid's size' =p


Then they served: Vine Ripe Tomato Water Gazpacho Sphere, Basil Air. Daddy and Mummy couldnt figure out what it was but in came in a very small glass (those glasses that they use for shots) with a small ball of vegetable inside. Mummy said that it tasted like some spicy water and she only took a bit and passed it to Daddy.

The next dish was: Sevruga Caviar Consomme Spaghetti. All the unlces and aunties were saying that wont they all be very full if they now eat spaghetti? But guess what, they were served a bowl with just .... 1 strand of spaghetti which taste more like agar agar and there were some cavier in the bowl. They all had a good laugh ...

Cappucino of Cepe's was served next and again they all were thinking why were they served coffee in the middle of the dinner. But it turned out to be a very yummy mushroom soup.

Next dish was served in a wine glass and guess what's its suppose to be?

Spanish Omelette "XXI Century" Bacon and Onion, Orange Sabayon (got see omelette look like that before heehee)

Then we had a chance to eat Lychee Sobert with Liquid Nitrogen, it was freshly made sobert as we could see the chefs cooling it down at the kitchen.

The 2 main dishes were Poached Cod Fish, In Olive Oil Sauce with Grapefruit and Grilled Wagyu Fillet "Szechuan Pepper", Wild Mushroom Fricassee, Red Wine Sauce. Both the dishes were yumm-ilicious esp the Wagyu Fillet!!

Finally, I had the chance to run around while Aunty and Uncle make their rounds at the tables.

We saw the kitchen and they were busy preparing the dessert.

Guanaja and Blackberry slice, Rum Parfait and Mint Strawberry

Pretty isnt it?

Although the food and ambience were great but Mummy didnt enjoy the dinner much. As I met my best partner ... ...
