Gathering of FOUR generations!!

Today my grand aunties (姨婆), uncles (表叔) and aunties (表姨) are coming to my place for a end year get-together. Mummy managed to book the function room for this occasion and everyone was to contribute some food for the get together.

There was a very good spread of food but Mummy and Daddy came down too late so they could only eat abit of the bee hoon (cos eldest grand-aunt was 'watching' over the bee hoon ~ making sure that everyone leaves a plate for Aunty Deborah who is pregnant with a mei mei *finally a bb gal is on the way* its been 12 years since the last bb gal in the family!!), chicken wing, sotong ball, otah, curry vegetables and not to mention the YUMMY 'Kong Ba Bao' made by 2nd grand-aunt!

While everyone was busy eating, I had alot of fun playing with my uncles. Mummy laments that it used to be the other way round where the grand aunties were eating and SHE was busy playing with the uncles hahahaha

Mummy bought a lychee martini cake for the Party so they all decided that the January babies should be given the honour to cut the cake.

Its such a coincidence that there is a representative from each generation!!

Generation 3: Aunty Jonea who happens to be the youngest gal in that whole generation and SHE is that last bb gal lar!!

After all the yummy food, it was back to my house for the 2nd part of the day. My uncles had fun with MY toys!!

Jiu Jiu pass out lor!!

Today is the day that Jiu Jiu has been waiting for ... its his Passing Out Parade (POP) day!

We reached his camp at 7pm and make our way to the auditorium.

Luckily Mummy managed to get a seat for me to view the ceremony and she secretly fed me my dinner while waiting for the cermony to start.

It was a very simple ceremony. They showed the photo of the graduate and the station that they will be posted to. Soon, Jiu Jiu was called up the stage to receive his certificate and he will be posted to the Yishun Fire Station with a few of his friends.

They then went up the stage to recite their pledge.

Ma Ma and Gong Gong were then invited up the stage to put on the rank for Jiu Jiu. See how happy everyone is!!

Jiu Jiu and all his pals started to call on their instructors and gave them 'awards' and of cos throwing them in the air. How I wish they will 'throw' me too ... I LIKE!!

They then got together to give their one last cheer

I had a good time cheering them on as well ... I felt so much like one of them!!

Ma Ma's day out with US

Both Daddy and Mummy are on leave this week, Mummy wanted to bring Ma Ma out for some nice meal and shopping. So the first stop today is at Red Star Cafe to eat dim sum. Gong Gong was in town so he popped by to join us for lunch too!

Gong Gong said that it has been almost over 20 years since he last visted Red Star Cafe while Ma Ma had not memory of it hiak hiak even though Gong Gong was very certain that he brought Ma Ma to the cafe before.

After lunch, it was a stop over at Aunty Soo Chuen place to deliver the Yao Lan (cos Yi Heng Di Di was driving them nuts hiak hiak) then down to Vivo City! Ma Ma has never been to Vivo City as Yee Yee was too busy during the holiday to accompany her there and Gong Gong dun fancy shopping!

I took a nap while they walked round and round and round. Soon it was dinner time and they decided to have dinner at ... ...

Cos UOB credit card was having a one-for-one offer hiak hiak they ordered 3 pastas and 1 pizza to share. While waiting for their food ... ...

They ordered a brownie to share cos Mummy rememebered that Aunty Eileen ever mentioned that they serve very nice brownie.

It was more shopping before we 'home sweet home'.

Xmas Party @ Ma Ma House

Yee Yee has invited her Campus Crusade friends to Ma Ma house for a Xmas Party and she invited us too!!

I felt like a Superstar when I arrived!!

They prepared alot of food ~ chess sotong ball, bee hoon, sushi, susages with pineapple, chocolate fondue etc Daddy and Mummy ate while I was busy performing =P All the aunties and uncles were very friendly to me and I had a good time playing with them.

We all sat down for a carolling session and soon after they started to play a game. The game is similar to the 'Star Award' show where they have to guess which of the selected person ate the 'special' food which includes Wasabi Sotong Ball, Lemon Juice and Chili. Those people who guess wrongly will have to ... ...

Hahahahahahaha

Finally it was the toasting time (like wedding ar!) ... ...

Xmas Lunch @ The Paramount

Today Ah Ma is giving us a Xmas Treat @ The Paramount!! Mummy made the reservation in the morning but it was still a long and crazy wait at the restaurant. We waited for almost 30mins before we got a table in the restaurant.

Daddy ordered dim sum for everyone to share while Mummy fed me lunch! They wanted to order Peking Duck but it was .... ... SOLD OUT!! Even the normal Cha Shao Su was sold out!! But well, everyone just enjoyed whatever food that was still available.

While they are enjoying the food ...

... I had to suffer in silence =(

Xmas Eve today?

Went to Sakae Sushi for our Xmas Eve Dinner. But ... ...

Yee Yee Baptised

Yee Yee is getting baptised today!! We work up very early so that we can witness the baptism ceremony and show our support!

We met Yee Yee's darling and my fav 'suai' ge there. He was there to support Yee Yee too! The church was so crowded that we had to sit at the last row of the church.

We had to wait very long before the ceremony commence

A very Speical Wedding Dinner

We are attending the wedding dinner of Aunty Wei Qi and Uncle Nan-Waw, the wedding is held at a very speical place called Dolce Vita @ Oriental Hotel.

The restaurant is located next to the pool and the whole setting was very pretty!

Tired out from the Xmas Party

The dinner is not the typical chinese wedding as its all 'ang mo' food. Mummy says that its called: Fine Dining and true enough all the food served were very yummy and 'fine'.

Soon Aunty and Uncle marched in but we couldnt see them clearly as we were placed out door, then the dinner started. The first to come was the bread and we sort of figured out that bread was the main dish for that night as the rest of the food were all 'kid's size' =p

Then they served: Vine Ripe Tomato Water Gazpacho Sphere, Basil Air. Daddy and Mummy couldnt figure out what it was but in came in a very small glass (those glasses that they use for shots) with a small ball of vegetable inside. Mummy said that it tasted like some spicy water and she only took a bit and passed it to Daddy.

The next dish was: Sevruga Caviar Consomme Spaghetti. All the unlces and aunties were saying that wont they all be very full if they now eat spaghetti? But guess what, they were served a bowl with just .... 1 strand of spaghetti which taste more like agar agar and there were some cavier in the bowl. They all had a good laugh ...

Cappucino of Cepe's was served next and again they all were thinking why were they served coffee in the middle of the dinner. But it turned out to be a very yummy mushroom soup.

Next dish was served in a wine glass and guess what's its suppose to be?

Spanish Omelette "XXI Century" Bacon and Onion, Orange Sabayon (got see omelette look like that before heehee)

Then we had a chance to eat Lychee Sobert with Liquid Nitrogen, it was freshly made sobert as we could see the chefs cooling it down at the kitchen.

The 2 main dishes were Poached Cod Fish, In Olive Oil Sauce with Grapefruit and Grilled Wagyu Fillet "Szechuan Pepper", Wild Mushroom Fricassee, Red Wine Sauce. Both the dishes were yumm-ilicious esp the Wagyu Fillet!!

Finally, I had the chance to run around while Aunty and Uncle make their rounds at the tables.

We saw the kitchen and they were busy preparing the dessert.

Although the food and ambience were great but Mummy didnt enjoy the dinner much. As I met my best partner ... ...

Xmas Party @ Aunty Evelyn's House

Today is a busy day. We were invited to 3 gatherings and 1 wedding dinner !! So we decided to attend the Xmas Party at Aunty Evelyn's place then proceed to the wedding dinner from there. Had to give Uncle Chee Keong's BB First Mth Shower and the Xmas Gathering at Uncle Daniel's place a miss as the timing clashes with Aunty Evelyn's gathering and the wedding dinner.

Aunty Evelyn and Uncle Spencer set up a very pretty xmas tree and there were many beautifully wrapped presents under it.

As usual, there were lots of yummy food ~ sushi, chicken mayo puff, bee hoon (all home made), DIY Poh Piah, dessert and of cos lots of drinks too!!

Then its time for the long awaited gift exchange! All the presents were tag with a number and we had to draw a number to determine the gift that we receive. I helped Daddy to draw the tag and we got #10. The gift was from Unlce LKY and Aunty Yen Ee and I got the honour to open the present for Daddy.

Uncle Shawn & Aunty Jasmine got the mini chocolate foundue that we bought and Aunty Jasmine likes it very much. Hope that we will get to eat chocolate fondue when we go to her place next time!!

Xmas is coming ... ...

Daddy and Mummy decided to pop by Robinson to do some xmas shopping as Robinson was having a store wide 20% SALE!!

We had dinner at the Waruka Japanese Restaurant first ~ don't we look like we are in Japan?

There was a huge downpour and we had to wat for 30mins before we got a seat in the restaurant. So what do we do while waiting ... ...

After we had our dinner, its off to shopping ~ so boring!!

PS: Daddy bought Mummy a wallet while she bought him a shirt and tie. They also bought a mini chocolate fondue maker for the gift exchange. And the best part is ... NOTHING for me!!

Last Lesson @ GUG

Today is my last lesson of my term in GUG.

To mark the end of the year, we have a party in class today. So instead of doing the messy craft, we get to eat yummy food. Mummy prepared the chicken cocktail susages with chess while other mummies brought cake, LOTS of baby biscuits, french fries, yoghurt, muffins etc etc etc. I enjoyed the baby biscuits and yoghurt, while mummy enjoyed the rest of the food!

Then it was bubble time!!

What have I learned in GUG? Hmmmm ...

1) Do the action for 'Wheels on the Bus' and 'I am speical'

2) Learned how to 'Close my eyes'

3) Know where to wear a watch on

4) Know how to paint (with lotsa mess of course!)

5) Do action for some of the phonics (best at 'A')

Not too bad for 9 classes right?

Gathering @ Uncle Shawn & Aunty Jasmine's place

Today Aunty Jasmine has planned for a gathering to surpise Uncle Shawn, as its a long time since they last met. I made myself comfortable at their place while Daddy and Mummy enjoyed the food.

Mummy had a lot of fun catching up with her friends. They were all teasing Aunty Woon Woon as to why she was not getting herself ready for the 'Red Star Award' 紅星大奖 as she is working as a producer at Mediacorp. Mummy kept reminding her to look for us if she need a cute baby on any project *shy*!

Today we are meeting up with Daddy's friend - Uncle Melvin, Aunty Adeline and Leon Di Di. As usual we are meeting at Globetrotters (again, again and again!), since we are already at United Square.

Daddy had a good time catching up with Uncle Melvin while Mummy and Aunty Adeline chatted about nothing but BABIES!!

Mummy bought this Little Touch Leap Pad for me when I was barely 6mth old, but knowing my 'pattern', she decided to keep in out of my sight until I am older.

Today she decided to open it up and let me play with it.

I had so much fun!!

A Typical Weekend MoRnInG ...

I love weekends cos Daddy and Mummy will accompany me all the time!

If we wake up early enough, we will usually start off with going out for breakfast. (Venue selected will be dependant on the amount of money they win for MJ on Friday night hiak hiak) Today we are at Cafe Cartel for breakfast ... think they must have won q abit heehee ...

Mummy and Daddy enjoyed their breakfast and they gave me some of the muffin to eat. But I dun really like to eat muffin and I spit it all over the table.

Help! I am getting breathless!

We will then pop by NTUC to do some grocery shopping then head off to Daddy's fav hunt in town.
